Do anyone have success with toad lily

For me Tricyrtis ohsumiensis is pretty aggressive and loves our climate

I also have Tricyrtis macropoda, lasted two winters and being planted pretty late in the season

also one dwarf purple flowering one under the old name Rice Creek, forgot the new cultivar name after Rice Creek moved.

One called T. formosana "Samurai" lasted two or three year before it died during a mild winter. That winter some years ago also oddly enough killed most of my lungwort cultivars, even most of the aggressive green leaf species.

Now have two of the purple flower species - I'm trying to add a bit of sulphur to acidify the pH - one have last even this year harsh winter! I'm guessing T. hirta since it is hairy and one planted this year, of course yet another T. formosana "Samurai" cultivar since I likes its variegated foliage even thought it notorous late to bloom.

So I'm curious - what are your experiences with Tricyrtis?
