I accidentally pulled....

I accidentally pulled a daylily out this afternoon. If you saw the garden I was weeded you'd understand. (part of the reason for my gardenweb name) Only the "grasslike leaves came out" no roots. Are daylilies as hardy as I think they are that it should sprout new leaves?

Daylilies are really hardy! I've done the same thing. I'm guessing by September you won't be able to tell you had a little mishap.

This year I got a new weed wacker and I completely chopped down my entire daylily plant...it came back just fine...and then in another garden of mine that I had the orange "ditch lilies" ,(I just yank them out like weeds) I accidentaly pulled out a good one...(Only pulled off the green top, no roots luckily)seen the tag after I pulled and now you would never know I did that...What great plants they are.

Well Penny Earned is poking through again. I'll have to make a note for that one it looks just like grass.
