| I live in the city. I want to grow a hedge and garden to provide privacy in my yard. I live right on an alley. People cut diagonally across the front of my yard to reach the street and sidewalk. I want to grow a hedge in this area to block the foot traffic. What ideas to people have on creating a cheap and durable fence to block people from crossing my yard, until my yews grow large enough to do that themselves? |

| The cheapest I can think of is to buy metal fence posts at a farm supply store, along with some black or dark green plastic netting, or hog wire. If you want pretty, Menards had some faux wrought iron fence sections made of painted aluminum, that were a pretty good bargain. |
