Houttuynia cordata 'Chameleon'

Just picked this up at a local nursery. Now, after some internet sleuthing, I'm getting the impression it's a noxious, invasive plant that should be avoided. But maybe not in cold, cold Minnesota? Does anyone have experience or advice to share? I don't want to make a ghastly mistake. TIA, Gary

I wouldn't plant it where it is not absolutely contained or you will be digging it out for a long time trying to get rid of all of it.

I agree with flowergardener. My neighbor has been digging it out of her garden. A little bit left in the soil can start it spreading again.
