Hosta Help!

Posted by tania_10 z4MN (My Page) on

My hostas look like they have been shot by a shotgun. There are more holes than leaf. Don't think it's slugs - no slug trails anywhere. This also happened last year. Any suggestions - PLEASE.

THANKS,

Tania

I still think it's probabay slugs.

Mine looked the same, I asked my neighbor, way more experienced, she described them as "lacy", yep, slugs.

Post a picture over on the hosta forum. Lots of experienced hostaholics there to help with a diagnosis. My neighbor's hostas were devastated by Japanese beetles, for the first time this year.

Go out at night with a flashlight....you might be surprised what you can find on your hostas that way.

Thanks Everyone,
Will post a picture as soon as I get my camera working and will do the flashlight thing this evening.
