One of the things I love most about this new place is the feel of the back yard. I feel like I'm gardening up north, in a wooded glade, on vacation even!

The back yard just called for a campfire, so one of my first purchases for the yard was a fire pit. I built a platform for it today, using cement blocks that were left at the house. I'm one short, so will have to pick that up in the next day or so, but I am most definitely planning on a small campfire tonight! Just wish I had someone to share it with, but my kids (at least the MN ones) are camping at Itasca State Park this weekend.

This garden will be a lot different then my Owatonna garden but I love it already. I think that, for people like most of us, gardens are a lot like your children. They all have unique personalities and you just love each one of them so much, for that very uniqueness that makes each one of them what it is!
