One lived in my front yard all Spring and Summer, but I havent seen it lately. It shed a HUGE skin right in a flower bed a few weeks ago. We are supposed to get a warm up here in SE WI, so I'll keep an eye open for my 'pet'.

It seems too early to hibernate, but on the other hand, they cant generate their own body heat, so...who knows?

It loves my stone retaining wall for sunbaths, hiding, and hunting grubs and whatever else.

The snake came out again the next day to bask, so I guess it's not hibernating. But looks like it has decided to stay in my garden! Which suits me fine - they are beneficial,right?
