Forcing Tulips

Man I messed up, I bought some tulips to plant. But didn't have time to get them in the ground before I went on a trip. Before leaving put the box of bulbs in my unheated sunporch. This was back in the last week of October. I was gone for over 2 weeks, and when I got home, forgot about these bulbs.

Needless to say, they have been in my porch since then. Up against the OUTSIDE wall.

Here are my questions, do you think the bulbs are still good? Or will they be to frozen? It's been down to -15 up here.

IF they are still good, how long does it take to force them? It might be fun to plant a few pots a week or so apart, and have tulips blooming in the house!

Also in the box are some Jack in the pulpit roots I had ordered from Brecks. They had arrived while I was gone, and the DD put them in the box with the Tulip bulbs. I had forgotton I even ordered them! Do you think I could plant these in pots, and grow them under lights over the winter?

Thanks

Jenny P
