I got mine at Franks Nursery. Are you supposed to soak them overnight and nick them like morning glory seeds?

There is a place online...type in keyword Moonflower and you will get a mail order site. Also Wal Mart in Berlin NJ and a gardening center called Frita and Freds on the White Horse Pike in New Jersy. I am in South Jersey but you may be able to call Frtia and Freds and have them ship them to you. I went through hoops last year to get the seeds...hard to find, but worth the effort! Love them sooo much. Hope I could help, and Happy Gardening to you!!

Hi There - many dept stores have them like K-mart and Job Lot. You can also call your local nurserys as most carry them too but they might be more $. Yes I did start them inside but I nicked them with a knife and soaked them over night. I waited to plant them until the threat of frost is over.

:-)

I'm WSing mine late with other MGs. I also have some winter container plantings as a kind of experiment.

The seeds are pretty common in the stores - right there with the morning glories.

I just bought mine online from Burpee. We're not supposed to start them until 3 weeks before they go outside, but I did start their cousins, the morning glories (recommended to start six weeks earlier), and they are very easy. They only took a few days to sprout. I assume the moonflowers will be similar.

I got my moonflower seeds at Walmart. I think the best way to start them early indoors is to nick and soak them for at least 24 hours. Don't worry about damaging them because they have REALLY hard seed coats. You can actually start them off in wet paper towels as well. I plant mine peat pellets. Be sure to keep them warm though - Last year a bunch of my seeds got moldy. Good Luck!
