moonflowers vines in pots?

| Has anyone ever grown these in containers? I'm planning to plan some this year but I'm not sure what size container to put them in. |

| I have grown moonflowers in pots and in the ground. They actually did better in the pots though they seemed to be a little slower getting started. That may be because they were on my porch railing and didn't get enough sun til the vines started crawling down the railings. They did fabulously. My pots were about a yard long and 6 inches wide but I only put one moonvine in the very end of the pot. The rest of the pot was planted with impatients. Be careful with the water. If you overwater you get great folage but few blooms. They are one of my favorite flowers and if I can grown them anyone can. Good Luck.......Moondance |
