Do the seeds need light to germinate? Or do you cover the seeds with soil? Thanks for info!!

I soak the seeds overnight in water (like beans) and then plants them in damp soil. No light needed to germinate.

I successfully got 10-20 seeds to germinate by "gently" cracking them with pliers (just enough to form a crack), soaking them overnight, and then planting them in potting soil about 1/2" down. Within a few days they were up and doing great.
