Partial Shade flowers?
| | |
Posted by TopazHancock 8A (My Page) on Sat, Apr 5, 03 at 11:42
I have a one spot left for a garden bed and I would love for it to be a moon garden. It gets shade (it's not dark, just not direct sun) most of the day, but Texas sun in the late afternoon.
Any suggestions?
My morning glories did eventually grow last year, but they were kinda unimpressive in that bed.
(IndigoBlues Girl - this is all your fault! Because you pointed me here, I'm dying for a moon garden!)

| How about nicotiana? there are both tall and short varieties, and they do best with some shade. They have fabulously scent flowers that open at night. Some petunias will grow in part shade, as will geraniums(pelargonium) some of which have scented leaves. Depending how much sun you do get, you could try some Oriental lilies. |
