Moonflower sprouting

I am new to this site. I have tried to grow moonflowers for 2 years and never could get the seeds to sprout. I read all the information people have posted. I soaked a pack of seeds, and yesterday I put them on a wet paper towel in a baggie. Yes, I have shoots coming out of 4 seeds. Now for the dumb question! Which end is to top of seed and which is the root end? Most of the seeds are rounded on the bottom with a little brown circle that I always thought was the root end. The other ends of seeds are almost all a little pointed. I now wonder if I was wrong planting them upside down. Is this shoot coming out
the roots starting or is it the plant starting. Which end do I put upright when I plant them? I know this sounds stupid, but this the very first time I have had the seeds do something besides rot when I checked them out. thank you very much, this is a great site!! |

| The thing coming out is the root. The leaves, believe it or not, are crinkled and folded up inside the rest of the seed. When they unfold you'll know what they are! |

This site - and mostly you people who take the time to read and help other people with their questions are awesome!! I have only just read questions and answers before this, this was my first question. I had two direct responses and they told me exactly what and how to plant my little sprouts. I want to thank you all - and most of all people who keep this site going. |
