I found Some Moonflower (lavender ) Color Seeds and plants On ebay, Although they are not the vine type.They are the large bush moonflower still just as beautiful and fragrant and Night opening . I believe they were called "Datura Lilly"

Thanks Kelly. The lavender bush sounds lovely and fragrance too! Unfortunately I garden on an 8'4" square balcony and although I have hanging pots on the wall and pots on the floor it sounds a tad big for my space. I notice you're in my zone too! Belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you!

I might have what you want. Mine are called Lavender Moonvine (Ipomoea turbinata) The vine grows to 15 feet and have blooms that are lilac or dusky pink about 2 inches across. The blooms open in the afternoon and stay open all night. I got them as a bonus from Onalee's Home-grown seeds. She also has those great white moonflowers also. She is also on e-bay. Thought I'd update on my luck in getting the seeds! I had problems at Onalee's website so I ordered from another site. A bit late to order and I forgot that going through Canada Customs delays the order but received them on the 17th, nicked, soaked overnight, put in soil on June 18th Friday morning-LIFE! the seeds have popped up which in my experience is very fast! So I just might get blooms this year after all. Also am trying the germinate cross vine tangerine but no signs of life yet ...

Yes they do seem to germinate overnight. I'm so happy to have helped you find what you need and that you are happy with the results. Please post pics when you can. My guys are still very small, I don't think I have them in enough sun but I am patient. Two years ago I had them and they bloomed for me that summer. How do you overwinter yours? I thought they were just an annual.

After years of experimenting I have the method down 'pat' now ... nick, soak, plant and voila! I must say though that the lavender seeds showed life longer before the white ones. The company I ordered with threw in a free package as well. The other seeds have not even responded - very disappointing. I'm looking to buy a digital camera (FINALLY!) so I'll be able to post progress pics!

Sorry - I didn't answer your question about overwintering: No such luck - I'm in Toronto, Ontario Canada ... but I harvest the seeds of course. Next year I'll start a LOT earlier! The other seeds - Cross Vine Tangerine Beauty - is apparently a perennial but they show NO signs of life at all. I'll put a couple more in - they say not to cover them which I haven't and I can't imagine what else I'm doing wrong.

Perennials can take a long time to germinate. I winter sowed butterfly weed 2 winters ago and had the container behind my shed. Last week I take a look behind there and they were about 12 inches high. The only reason I knew they were BW is because I finally went out and bought some. So don't dispare just hava A LOT of patience. My moonflowers are only slightly larger than the last time I posted (maybe 1/2 inch). I think next year I'm going to start mine earlier also.

Okay then ... I won't give up. Had a second look at the little envelope the Cross vine came in and I notice it says 30-90 days! So it may happen yet. And since these are a perennial I'll keep them for next year. Now if we could just get a decent run at a few days of sunshine! that must have been a nice surprise to find the Butterfly Weed.

thought I'd do a followup on my various vines and searches for them: the one I got which is described as Lavender Moonvine in fact is not as portrayed. It's a pretty little vine but nowhere near what I expected (see link to picture http://summerhillseeds.com/moonvine-lavender-pi-33.html)
Oh well, there's always next year. And as for the Cross Vine Tangerine Beauty..I keep thinking I see signs that its germinating but not yet. PLUS I'm unundated with little green thingys which I'm told are aphids. -) There's always next year.
