They have the same water and nutrient requirements. Planting them together should not be a problem.

I have planted both together. You get the morning glory flowers in the a.m. and the moonflowers in the p.m.

when I planted morning glorys they were annuals so they died but reseeded and new ones grew like weeds except they'er all on color now!

I'm going for a patriotic look: Cypress vine, MF, and Grandpa Otts MG for a red, white, and (purply)blue combo. Grandpa is the shortest but already blooming, and the other two have climbed the sheperds hook, but are just beginning to develop buds.

Why not? They are both Ipomoea. I have them on a cool trellis with hyacinth bean vine. Talk about confusion.

The best days are the cool, fall days, when the moon vines open and the morning glories have not closed yet...if only they would last.
