What to do with Wilting Moonflower?

I have a one-month old moonflower (about 2 feet tall) that started wilting today after we got 1.5 inches of rain yesterday. Three others planted next to it (about a foot apart) are still doing ok, but this one is wilted, worst at the bottom, but seems to get better toward the tips of the vines. Is the plant a goner? Does this sound like excess water? Weird thing is it looked fine this morning and didn't get wilted until later afternoon. And it wasn't in the sun anymore by that time.

My ipomoeas looked great and then croaked too. I'm stumped and replanted some this week. This seems to be a tough flower for me to grow.

My bush type moonflower always wilts in the hottest part of the day. Is yours a vine or bush-Datura?
