Purple Perilla for Back Lights

I had a great time winter sowing purple perilla and have a few sprouts left over. Anyone use purple perilla as a foil for the whites?

I'm aware of the fact these things re-seed with vigor-but what the heck! - once you know that you can control it. And hey, it's better than losing a much loved plant to a crummy winter.

What purple plants do you use if any?
