Moon flower

I started from seed two Moon flower vines, they are growing nicely on an arbor, they bloomed at a rate of 2 flowers per night, now they both stopped and are growing "huge" seed pods.

this is my first spring and summer in Zone 9 Fort Pierce, Fla. Why did they stopped blooming (all conditions are right) and should I (I did) cut off the seed pods?

If the seeds drop will I have zillions of wild vines?

I am going North for 3 month, what am I going to find when I come back? ;-)should I cut them back before leaving?
