hey, that's happening to me, but a couple of my flowers have already bloomed, and in the joints where the old leaves are, there are new leaves coming out. I don't know what's wrong either

I'm glad to know I'm not alone. But now I have another problem. I have transplanted them outside and several stems have broken off. Is there an animal or bird (I found bird droppings on the ground) that likes to eat moon flowers, or is it just the wind breaking the stems off?

I grew Moonflower in Indiana for many tears with no problems. I planted them here in Oklahoma this spring and the leaves are kind of streaked with yellow, crinkly, distorted and curling under. Yep, all that. I did a search but only came up with sites that said how these plants are usually pest and disease free. Any ideas?

I have been told from a very good source that they are very sensitive to tobacco, any plants related to those planted nearby? They are also prone to be attacked by the green tomatoe worm, or cut worms.
Might be worth checking, and hope this helps a little.

I don't know what the problem is, tho you may want to check in at the Brugmansia forum and see if they can lend some insight, the plants are very similar.

Merriss, my datura are planted in whickey barrels with nicotiana and has been for a couple of years. They do fabulous so I have to guess that the tobacco story is not correct.
