Datura Seeds Wanted
| | |
Posted by sonora210 none (My Page) on Tue, Jun 7, 11 at 4:01
Where can I find a seed exchange for Datura? Might they have datura wrightii (the one I used to see growing around Tucson), datura metel, and datura inoxia seeds? I used to see wrightii blooming in the evenings when I would go for runs at Catalina State Park in the late 90's. They had such a presence to them. I miss them greatly and figure why not try growing them and bring them in for the winter. I live in southern WI.
Thx,

| If you want to contact me at my home email, I will mail you some seeds in about a month when the pods ripen and pop open. I don't know which type my plants are as a friend game me a plant about 5 years ago. It is a small bush with very large white flowers that open at night. Has a nice smell. It blooms constantly. Here is the Austin, TX area I reseed every fall for new summer plants. |

| I don't have anything fancy, just a white-flowered Datura of unknown breed. But the flowers smell wonderful, very similar to roses, and with any kind of luck the seeds will produce fragrant plants too. Shoot me an email in a month or two, and I'll gladly mail some seeds to you--mine's covered with pods! |
