what's your best attracting flower for Luna moths ? (aka hummingbird moths)

sorry to confuse you , I'm not referring to hummingbird moths.I mean the lime-green colored moths (Actias luna).
do you know what attracts them ?

Adult moths

Wow !
I just did a search on these moths on the web.
This site says that the adults have no mouths and their only function is to mate and lay eggs.
I have only seen Luna moths in heavily wooded areas.Here is the link to the site:

They are attracted to light. As you have discovered they do not eat, and unfortunately have a short life span. Always a treat to see one.

I read in the book "Fading Feast" by Raymond Sokolov, former columnist for Natural History Magazine, that their host plant is the American persimmon, which used to be much more common than it is now. I imagine Luna Moths were once more common as well. I want to plant some persimmons myself as sooon as possible in my cousin's LI garden. Without being doctrinaire about it, it is so important to make sure we include native plants in our gardens and shrubberies. Besides supporting our native wildlife, they are so very beautiful in many cases.

American persimmons are available through Oikos Tree Crops in Kalamazoo, MI. They don't have a website that you can order from, but they're quick to get out paper catalogs for the asking.
