finally blooms on moonflower vine ~ Thank you!

This is my first post and I wanted to say thank you to all the gardeners on here! I read here that the vines do not start developing flowers until the vine has reached the top and started back down again (other posts disagreed)...but, I headed my vines back down their trellis about 36 hours ago and I now have 5-6 buds on each vine. I'm sure more will develop soon, but I am thrilled with the nearly instant gratification! Not often do we get this as gardeners. Now, I do realize it could be a coincidence, but I left one vine alone and it is still growing up...with no buds. Hmmm.... Thank you gardeners for the information!
