Brooks, If it is a Moonflower vine type and the seeds were whitish tan and quite large (for seeds) then it will not only grow in Alabama but it should give you many pods with new seeds for next year. It is, I think, a bit late to plant them this season though, they take a while to mature. The seeds will keep in a cool dark place for the winter and try them next May or June. Mine were planted in late April this year and I am just now enjoying the gorgeous white flowers with a few seed pods starting to form. We had alot of rain this year and that may have delayed my vines somewhat. They like to have a fence or trellis to climb up on. Enjoy !! |
