RE: Full Sturgeon Moon tonight

Amber,
Every calender month has one full moon,(rarely two- the second would be called a blue moon)
August's full moon is called Sturgeon Moon, folk lore and tradition says it's the easiest day of the year to catch migrating Sturgeon in rivers.I never caught a sturgeon so I can't comment on it's validity.
Full moons are good days to plant seeds and do other various gardening chores, the moon has a pull on the water table much like it has an effect on the oceans with tides ect..
hope this helps a little
