I live in Southeren New England. Winter is very long and hard for me. During winter on nights that are not to cold I love to sit outside late.

Is there a way to make a moon garden in containers that will withstand winters? There must be things that grow up north in winter besides evergreens. If not outside, how about on an unheated closed in sun porch? I need some spring in my winter nights to survive.
