Datura Day Bloomer?? Please Help!!

Hi - I have a datura (I guess its called Datura?) That has large white flowers and blooms only at night. When I went to a local farm stand today - she had another (in which she said was a datura as well) but said it is a Daytime bloomer?? It has a purple flower (which wasnt in bloom) with frilly ends. Is there a such thing as a moonflower/datura/brugmensia (sp?) that blooms in the day only? I am new to these flowers but love them. Please any help or pics would be much appreciated.

This type of Datura blooms during the day, and its purple with frilly ends. But then again, all the datura I ever had, even the plain white, bloomed during the day. And they all seem to spread like crazy where i am unless you remove all the spiney pods and discard. They are also said to be toxic, but to the extent of which i have no clue. Thats all I know of datura!

Anyway, I know you posted this guestion some time ago, but i hope this helps, heres a link to check out

Here is a link that might be useful: Ballerina purple datura
