new at these plants

I have just recently started datura from seeds.
#1. why am I loosing fresh green leaves?
#2. I have also had the flower buds fall off.
#3. I am overwintering my pots inside and actually had my black currant swirl bloom inside. When do I picked the seed pod off?
#4. Has anyone in MI plant these in the ground and had them come back the next year by seed or roots?
My black currant swirl and my brugmansia are about 5 feet tall in their pots, do I trim them back? I also have datura - evening fragrance - does any one know about these?
I would really appreciate the help |

| well from what I understand .. the daturas are annuals.. and need to be grown from seed or cuttings... Guess you could take a cutting in to overwinter or in takeing the plant in with the idea of completing the seed pod ripening.. don't think it would last past this.. might be the reason for the leaf drop..on the other one.. I leave the seed pods on till it gets brown and starts to split apart... if the season allows for this... Gordon |

| Thanks, I have all of mine inside now for the winter. I may take them to the green house that I work at and see what happens. |
