Very, very late moonflower about to bloom

Hi everyone,
I planted my moonflower from seed the last week of June. All summer I've been waiting patiently for it too bloom, but alas, not a single bud. While my morning glories blossomed beautifully, my moonflower just sat. It's mid-November now and I noticed a solitary bud swelling on the vine. It's about due to blossom any night now, and I'm very, very excited! It didn't let me down, I *am* going to see it flower this year! I'm soo happy : ) Will post pics of it once it opens... - Kari.

Congratulations on your bud! Watch it closely; in my experience with my own moonflowers (the vine type) they open very quick. I actually saw one opening one time, in the span of about 30-45 seconds! Mine opened early evening, but I'm in MA, not CA. Good luck on catching it open! They're also the most fragrant when they first open, and it's just the most beautiful flower scent I've ever smelled.
