The trees are trying to seduce me...

Posted by fishies Ontario z4a (My Page) on

Okay, well maybe not ALL the trees are trying to seduce me, but surely the one on the corner is! It's limbs trail down and keep touching my hair. I'm sure I hear it blowing in my ear whenever I walk by.

My problem? I have no idea what kind of tree this is, and it isn't talking. It's structure is like that of a weeping willow, but the leaves are shorter, more teardropped shaped, and silvery-green. And the tree itself doesn't look like it will get quite as big as a willow. It's about twelve feet tall now, and it looks like a mature plant.

Anybody have any idea what kind of tree this is?

Shelly

How about an ornamental weeping pear? Pyrus salicifolia pendula?
