Whacky weather

Anyone getting leaf buds on anything with this crazy mild winter weather?

I've got them on most of the roses outside and the ones that were theoretically "dormant' in the garage. @@

Well, I'm breaking down and dragging those containers out today. They've got blind growth and are covered with APHIDS!

Aphids, in JANUARY???

I'm new to the Midwest but this is whacky! Last year at this time, we were freezing our yahaas off. Looking at my 10 day forecast, 40's and 50's.

I don't know what to do with myself. I might just start DIGGING!

(But trying to keep myself from pruning. I sense that would be bad at this point.)

Not here in the west burbs yet, thank goodness; but I actually had been worrying about that. It's supposed to get arctic again this week, so I hope none of our stuff will get the budding idea yet.

I am in Nebraaska. My daffodils have been poking their heads up for about two weeks now. I keep covering the back up.
