Looking for beautiful fast growing ground cover

I live on the olentangy river which is beautiful however the weeds get high and make it hard to enjoy it. I am looking for an aggressive ground cover to choke out the weeds naturally. It is a mostly sunny area and typically doesn't flood but is obviously a wet area. Also I would like it to flower if possible! I know I know its a tall order but any advice would be great!

Lily Turf, a.k.a. Liriope, like Big Blue, may be aggressive ENUF for you.

It has spread pretty well in my beds.
