I live near Des Moines and am always looking for new garden friends.... not many gardeners near me and I love to share ideas with people from my area!

It's kind of slow around here since it's winter. But you can find a lot of 'locals' in various places like the annuals forum and the perennial forum, growing from seed, the winter sowing forum and the seed exchange.

Anyway welcome, there should be more people around once the weather picks up.
