Any 'must stop' garden stops between DM & KC?

A garden addict friend and I are driving to Kansas City this weekend from Des Moines. Are there any places we should stop to look and/or buy (plants and/or architectural and garden art and salvage)? We're both itching to get our fingers in the dirt!

Nell Hills in Atchison, KS might be on your way. It's not a nursery, but more of a home-decor shop, but they do have items for the garden. It might be worth a stop.

You might want to stop by Superior Garden Center in Columbia, MO. It's a neat place, nothing too strange and unusual...but I always enjoy it. It's not too far off I-70 either, which I assume is the route you're going. Just do a google for the store in Columbia and you'll get the exact address. Have a safe trip!
