Please suggest perennials for flower bed on north side of house

I recently moved into a home that has a flower bed on the north side of the house, which gets some morning sun and some afternoon sun. I'd like to plant perennials in this space, but am confused as to what I should plant. Will this space be too harsh for hostas? I'm open to any and all ideas, blooming or otherwise. Thanks so much!

Generally speaking, most "shade" plants can take some sun and since this site is shaded for the hottest part of the day, I would think most of the normal shade plants would do fine. Hostas, Ligularia, Cimicifuga, Pulmonaria, etc.

I have Nikko blue Hydrangea, azalea, Alberta Spruce, Blue Boy/Girl Holly, tiarella, bleeding heart(dwarf), Astilbe, lily of the valley, daylilies (a variety that takes light shade), sweet william (biennial, but it reseeds itself), columbine, and some roses that take light shade (Grus An Achen & Brilliant Pink Iceberg).
