Temps in the 20s

My perennials and bulbs are going strong. The mini-daffodils and muscari are blooming and the tulips have big buds in view. However, now we're supposed to have nighttime temps in the 20s for several days this week. Is there anything I can do to try to keep everything from freezing? If I don't do anything, what is likely to be damaged? The plants include tulips, daffodils, hyacinth, peony (up just a tiny bit), speedwell/veronica, scabiosa, a rose bush, sedum, and siberian iris. Thank you.

I wouldn't worry about the bulb plants, they can generally tolerate cold if they aren't blooming yet. The daffodil and muscari blossoms shouldn't be bothered by the cold temps. You might want to put your winter mulch back on the perennials that are just sprouting. The things that get zapped in this kind of weather are the magnolia and forsythia blooms, and there's nothing you can do about that.

Southeast Michigan here! Freezing temps tonight and I hear cold for the next week or so! Ughhh!!!! My daylilies were popping up. I guess I should cover them with something! Too late tonight though. I've been looking in the garden centers longing to buy plants. LOL. Guess I have to wait yet! My mini daffs are up too and they are looking fine. Noticed some of my neighbors daffs were drooping. Poor things! Everyone think warm.....at least in the 60's. That'd be fine with me!!

At the very least, it appears the worst is over - it got to 32 last night and we're pushing 40 today. Most bulb flowers are alive, but tattered - callery pears and flowering cherries mostly toast, but the Kwanzan's look OK as they were still mostly in the bud scales or just barely opening.

Lilacs - toast for this year

Peaches - we might get some, that remains to be seen

Pears - see above

Apples - should be OK.
