| I have a bunch of perennials coming up well and buds on my lilac bush. The temps here are supposed to be 31 tonight with rain/snow? Should everything be OK? |

| Hi--where I'm at it's supposed to get down to 33, but frost is predicted, and I'm in a sort of valley that always gets frost. I am going to cover my fully-leafed out (from the greenhouse) new roses and shrubs that I recently purchased and planted out, and also I'm going to risk looking like a total fool covering up an entire lilac bush with a bedsheet, but I don't care--I waited 5 years for this sucker to bloom, gosh darn it!! Unless someone can persuade me that a nip of frost won't hurt them, that is...I don't know if I should cover my other roses and perennials that are starting to leaf out. I can't cover everything. |
