Both Whole Foods and Wild Oats have an amazing selection of certified organic heirloom tomato plants again this year - AND the price is really reasonable! Wahoo!

Thanks for the info. Too bad it's too flippin' COLD and WET to plant!!! Argh. This weather makes me grumpy.

Surely it will end soon! My plants will be full grown and still in little pots. Bring on the sun!

Another frost/freeze warning for tonight. I have a bunch of stuff that needs planting that will be spending the night in my front hallway! It's easier than throwing tarps and blankets all over stuff.

RE: KC,MO They're Back!

I have lots of plants that need to be hardened off, but I don't want to risk frost damage so now, I am carrying them in and out every night and I am running out of room under my grow lights, as I would normally have the early plants out on the porch by now. It figures that the year I finally have tomato plants ready to go by May 1, the weather is too unsettled to plant them! I am also hoping to get some bush beans planted this week, provided the garden dries out enough before the next rain.
