Will Callie Orange bloom in our summers

Will the Callie Orange (Calibrachea) bloom during our hot summers, Springfield, or just in the Spring and early Summer? This is a annual plant that has small petunia like flowers and spreading habit similar to the wave.

Hi,

I'm in the Western Suburbs of Chicago, here's what my nursery's catalog says about it. It's a new selection for them, so I'm not sure I could get first hand info from them.

I grew 'Terra Cotta' and blue Calibrachea in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia and they did very well. They were planted in large containers (with other annuals and grasses) and in full sun until mid-afternoon. The high temps in that area generally were in the low to mid-90's with fairly high humidity during the summer. I'm thinking that's similar to your Illinois summers and, with perhaps some shade from hot afternoon sun, they should do well for you.

I am now living in south central Kansas and am trying 'Calli Orange' in containers. We had unusually cool weather for the first 3 weeks after I planted them so they haven't grown much. Our summers here are hotter (many 100+ degree days) so I've placed them in locations that will receive only a couple hours of morning sun. We'll see what happens.
