So much rain.

So this is my first year gardening and I have some concerns about my plants with all the rain. I think my plants could use some fertiliser but I am not sure if I should bother putting it down in all this rain Chicago has been getting.
The plants are in containers and I am afraid all the N is going to wash right out.
