Planter box recommendations

Hi!

I am new to these forums, so be gentle with me LOL!

I am going to be moving into a condo soon and will be looking to dress up my balcony with hanging planter boxes (if it's allowed by the owners' association). The problem is my soon-to-be condo's balcony faces north, so I would like some recommendations on flowers that do well in partial sunlight or shade.

RE: Planter box recommendations

Caladium isn't flowering but it has great foliage, rather tropical looking. Snow drops are great (bulbs) for shade and will bloom in early spring. Begonias work well in shade and so will hellebore and bleeding heart (all perennials). Impatiens are SUPER in the shade and look great in planters or hanging baskets. They're annual.
