I'm in Naperville and we had a quick thunderstorm Sunday night that dropped 8/10" of rain and took out 6 trees or huge parts of trees...I think it was a microburst or mini tornado. I'd almost have rather had the drought conditions.

Heard thunder near downtown, then... nothing. I was so excited I rounded up the dogs, gathered the cushions off the patio furniture and prepared to hunker down for a terrible storm. pfffft. Got out the hose a bit ago, figuring I can't count on the clouds tonight.

Oh Robieusa... I'm sorry the rain didn't get ya too. It must of just missed you. :( It knocked over some of my hollyhocks, no complaints about that..shoulda had them staked. But I just tied em up with some yarn to the fence (they are along a fence) till they can be tied up right in the morning. We may get rain tomorrow night! Lets keep our fingers crossed.
