Hello all! I am new to this forum and need help with my edelweiss plants..I recently bought four edelweiss plants about a month ago and planted them in two huge pots and set them in the sun. They have been doing well until recently. The past two days here in southern Illinois have been at the 100 degree mark with the heat index and the humidity at 70%. I went out to check on them yesterday and the heads of the buds were flopped over. I panicked and moved them into the shade and gave them a sprinkle of water..they perked up once the sun went down but I am worried about them for summers here can get hot. Has anyone else had any luck growing these precious flowers in IL? It doesn't seem that they handle the heat well and this worries me. Any tips on how to keep them cool and flourishing is well appreciated!
