Mazus Reptens use in all beds ok?

Can only find info from '07 on this ground cover. I love them! What I want to know is: I have open/bare spots in my beds, since the Mazus is so pretty between the step stones, could I plant it into the beds for ground cover too? My thought was that it crawls across and is lightly rooted and can be cut off, it would not harm any of the plants as they are rooted underneath the soil with roots growing into the ground. I picture the garden as a solid green covering like a carpet. Good?????

I waited several days to see nobody else replied, so here goes!
As long as you realize that this guy can be quite a thug, plant away!! The one good thing is that it is lightly rooted so not too difficult to remove if you change your mind! (my opinion, for what it is worth!)

I just planted this for the first time this year, and I second your vote - I LOVE this as a groundcover. WOW, it grew in really fast, and it's so pretty. I have it surrounding my newly installed patio.

Here is a link that might be useful: mazus
