I've read Bald Cypress is capable of growing in the north, but it seems sucsess is quite variable, and dependent on the genetics of a given tree. I also hear most of the cypresses that do well in the north are decended from trees growing in the northern reaches of the trees native range. What are some mail-order sources others growing this species in the north have had sucess with? Also would a cypress this far north need special care?
