Good afternoon. I am having some real problems with my aphrodite shrub. The leaves are yellowing and fear it is dying. I LOVE this shrub and want to see it succeed. Please help.

I did find some slugs on and around it recently so I put down some slug poison. perhaps I put too much?

How can I rectify this? should I take it out of the ground and put in a large pot to get the plant back on the mend? I have no idea what to do and could use any guidance.
