I think it's early, but we've had good rain, and the beans are coming on strong. Canning and pickling some today.

I'm jealous. There's nothing like fresh picked green beans steamed and slathered with a little sweet cream butter and a touch of salt.

Our green beans are just starting to flower so it will be awhile. Sigh.....

I'm in Central IL and this has, by far, been the best producing year for our beans. And clean beans as well! We've got 4 rows, oh about 10 foot long, and I've already frozen 7 gallons (not to mention what we've eaten along the way).
