No spray apple trees?

I live in a burb of Kansas City. I would love to find an apple tree for great fruit but which I won't have to put a bunch of sprays on. I don't want to kill all our benificial insects!! We do have native junipers in the area which I know are one host of the dreaded cedar apple rust. Can anyone help? Anyone grow a good apple?

Check out this thread on bagging apples on the tree to keep the pests off!
