Ninebark shrub - Physocarpus

HI All,

I planted a decent sized (2.5 ft. tall x wide) new Physocarpus 'Summer Wine' last weekend, and the leaves on the upper halves of the branches are drooping. The soil is excellent and I've watered thoroughly, so those aren't the problems. It is getting more afternoon sun than it would have gotten at the nursery from which I bought it. In fact, the spot is shaded by tall trees in the morning, and gets sun from about noon 'til nearly sunset.

Do y'all think I should wait to see if this is just a bit of transplant shock? Or should I figure out how to provide some afternoon shade?

Thanks for any ideas.
