Hedgeapples in Columbus, Ohio?

I read that Hedgeapples can be used to make spiders leave an area. Does anyone know where I can find Hedgeapples in or near Columbus, Ohio? Thanks! Jim

Jim,

I'm pretty sure that the hedgeapple's pest repellent properties are mythical.

If you're down in Cincinnati, there is a large planting in Eden Park.

I am not so sure if it works either. I have hundreds in my yard in Kansas and just consider them a nuisance. A relative from Mn. came down to visit and told me they were selling them at a craft fair for 50 cents apiece up in Mn. What a creative story for something that has no other use.
