Most of the sites are pretty slow.
What is everyone up to?
I went out this morning and picked up old flower pots,Planted 2 geraniums and hope we get a late frost. Last year it was middle of Oct. I'm not ready for that yet.
And naturally putting down mulch
Just curious to what everyone is up to.

I watered my garden and new trees and bushes today. Hasn't been much rain since the big storms. I have all new trees and bushes this year and the ground was rock solid. planted some mums last week and a hibiscus that bloomed today.

I don't want it to be over yet. My roses have done great this year. Not cutting plants down yet. I have lots of new buds on the flowers.

Anyone know if Moon flower vines reseed like Morning glories?

Cut down a lot of stuff, dug up a bunch of Campanula Glomerata, making a couple of new beds edged with stone, still planting a few things and watering the newly planted mums. And of course, cutting the grass and picking up the tree messes that the squirrels create. All in all, just the usual fall doings.

I treated my lawn for grubs, raked out the dead and reseeded damaged areas. Now it looks lush and green again.

We took out a huge overgrown tree and planted a river birch. Now I have to figure out if I want to put a bed in the old stump spot or put to grass.

I'm moving perennials around. Just moved here a year ago and need to rearrange. Most laborious has been turning over soil and literally sifting through the soil with my fingers to pull out all the roots of these very invasive groundcovers the PO filled the beds with. The beds were packed solid of root systems that were choking out my perennials. Never saw such a mess.

Planting trees & clematis.

Picking my first ever real fall crop of raspberries! Old, overgrown patch, but the August rains must have made the difference. Time to dig the horseradish and bring in the butternut squash. Cleaning up perennial beds. Still some roses, cannas, geraniums, etc., blooming. No frost yet.

Looking at seed catalogs! :) So many things to choose from, so little space! (for me) Maybe if I had an acre of land! :)
